SOMETIMES I FEEL Sometimes I feel, sometimes I don't Sometimes I will, and sometimes I won't Sometimes this all seems so real, sometimes it ain't Sometimes I’ll kneel, I’ll kneel down and pray. B SECT I feel like I'm lost out on star trails, and I'm dancing on cloudbursts and that I'm floating much lighter than air. I feel like I'm grasping out madly, to what I once had and this much freedom tends to lead one to despair I feel distance is home, It’s the only road I’ve known And what I reap I have sewn, and the hearts nothing more than alone I'm always left w/ me, and it's getting plain to see That what I want I can't have, and that's the thing that drives me mad B SECT I feel like I'm lost out on star trails, I'm dancing on cloudbursts and that I'm floating, I am floating lighter than air. I feel like I'm grasping out madly, to what I once had and this much freedom tends to lead one to despair END HOOK But I know I've needed you, and I've always needed you. I may not always have wanted you But God knows I've needed you.

Paul Adams: composer, guitar, harmonica, dobro Man at 4th and Vine The old man appeared at the bright light edge of town Near the light at 4th & vine and he sat right down He always flamed a fire of curiosity And the folks would always wonder, just who he might be As time went by gaining quite a reputation Being the point of the towns rumination Some thot he should be arrested, and some thot enshrined Some thot they’d never know that man at 4th and vine Some thot he was a mystic, or a prophet of good deeds And some thot he was the devil, but they’re just scared of mystery And rumor said it’d be luck, if anyone could find A broken mirror reflecting the man at 4th and vine. One day they noticed the old man was gone And newspapers wrote all about been going on And they praised him for his silence and they praised him for his kind They praised him for his wisdom and they praised him for his mind Then some time later on the bright lit edge of town While stepping thru the clover some children they found An old broken mirror with magic properties And a note to the bearer said please remember these Few words of wisdom, I impart to you To be passed thru all the ages, yet they are nothing new That your mystics might be dirty, and your poets weak Your writers sometimes crazy, but true servants they are meek Your rich men might be paupers, and your super models freaks Some gifts they will surprise you, take care of what you seek Remember that silence can be loud, and the simple are strong And your weakness forgivable, cause my compassion is long And the humble they are noble , and tenderness helps you find The secret of the man, that lived at 4th and vine elizabeth geyer: vocal andy hatfield: mandolin

Spark 03:57 video
SPARK There’s a spark in that poet, a spark in his mystery A spark down in his passion, and a spark in his misery There’s a spark of light and life and pain, a spark that is mine A spark that keeps you going and a spark that keeps ya blind Oh we are fast asleep within oceans of light What we sew we reap be it day or night (Ain’t no karmic fright) \ There’s a spark in a dancer, as spark in gasoline A spark in lofty visions, and a spark of things obscene There’s a spark in a distant memory, a spark in hard hold cash A spark from all that’s given and it can blow within a flash There’s a spark in the artist, or a burger flippin fool A spark in a rapper, even when his words are cruel There’s a spark in a woman in a child and in a man A spark in that politician, even when he makes no stand Oh we are fast asleep in oceans of light What we sew we reap, be it day or night Well there’s a spark in the lovers and the leavers and the ones that comfort you There’s a spark in the teacher and the weaver and the student and the fool There’s a spark in your question, and when you are confused A spark that wants to push you, even if you should refuse There’s a spark in your guilt and in your hope and even in your fears A spark in your running and your screaming and wiping away tears There’s a spark in your leaving and turning and way under your mask A spark that wants to push you, it’ll kick you in your ass

You are not that you said to me. More than a face more than just what you see I find myself just sitting here Somewhere between passion and fear CHORUS: I’m not just this sad song I’m simply human sometimes gone wrong You are not that You said to me Often confused what will be will be You are not that you are divine Can’t be explained, in a single point in time CHORUS: We’re not just this sad song …I’m simply human sometimes gone wrong (You are not that I say to you) (Often confused you did the best you knew)

I'm Alone 04:12
I’m ALONE I’m alone like a cold glass of water….I’m alone no destiny in sight I’m alone falling fate or fader I’m alone be it day or night CHORUS And you will take me to warm water, and you will lead me with a trusting hand And you will cast us son or daughter, and you will break us till we understand I’m not alone I’m alone like a lamb to slaughter, I’m alone no one 2 hold me tight I’m alone like a horse without a halter, I’m alone on this cold bitter night CHORUS B section I’m lost and found driven hard to the ground, I’m up and down like a yo yo spinning round seems never to be found this going round and round My slip shod ways, brain is in a haze, been days and days, my thinking is in a craze Your fire it’s a blaze will the heat burn out these wayward ways? We’re alone no warm water, we’re alone (sometimes) embraced by fright We’re alone natures son or daughter, we’re alone on this cold bitter night We’re alone with a tendency to falter, we’re all alone looking for light We’re all alone natures son or daughter, we’re all alone seeking comfort from the night Go to BEND ME …SHAPE ME ….ANYWAY YOU WANT ME…. Long as you love me, it’s alright We are like clay, shape us at your delight … your delight

Winters Year 04:17
Winters Year Winter comes one time a year don't worry now don't shed a tear Now and then we face a freeze the bitter wind and cold with ease Not every day the sun shines bright not every day a winters night So if you sing this song with me you will face the snow and cold with ease SING Hall.... Hall.... For we are such a mystery, our thinking creates such misery. We smile and shake the hand of man, then turn our backs not lend a hand But if we stop and lend an ear the mystics call to release fear We'll smile and see where all the same, the Christ Child Buddha, and the Jain SING Hall... Hall If we could stop insanity, the terror hate and vanity The world would be a better place, without forcing our religious ways dogmatic ways Amazing Grace So capable of love are we, as reflected in the Christmas Tree The Muslim, Jew, and the Jain, are welcome to sing the songs refrain SING

Freaks 04:17
FREAKS You see him lurking there (deep) within the shadows (sneering) wretched face, fighting inner battles. Feeling so alone, so he thinks he'll destroy ya, every step he takes, increases paranoia. What did they do did they seek to destroy you, beat you up, slap, tease and annoy you, kick you in the face, knock you down to the ground, did they laugh and sneer at your isolated frown. Well calling all freaks, (Ye) of heavy burden, release the chains you know are certain, to eat away your soul, fuel resentment, never lead you toward (To) any path of contentment. With your slap shot, care or not, shotgun brutal shot, spray of bullets to the crowd you know will not, ever accept you as their friend. Tell me my dear what message does your wounded heart send? Are you not becoming just like them? (Hold A chord...no bass run?) He sits in his room playing with Nintendo, His voice will rise and to a crescendo of a solid wall of fear, crying, envy and anger, You know it's their fault, and this leads to anger. That you can't express, parents never around, the television, radio, music seems to pound to a great mass of rage, deep within your cage Your brain is in a haze, from your isolated ways. Calling all freaks .... any path of contentment CHORUS Deep within your heart we have many questions. We all get confused some time. Take care not to lose your sense of wonder. Don't find, yourself, lost in a small frame of time. You will be fine.....

Western Wind 04:26
WESTERN WIND Like a western wind, he’ll be home again And a distant friend, who’s honesty would never bend Like the distant stars, in the sky You never stop to ask them why? It’s the western wind, that brings him home again. Don’t ask him why, he sits and crys In all those far distant bars, and roadside cafés Just like an eagle, when he’s caged You’ll always find him in a rage - till the western wind Brings him home again Like the western wind :II Why ask a heart, why it travels so? In search of things that it may never know. Try and understand him, if you can He only knows his only plan - is with the western wind to Bring him home again

Old Faded Photo In this house, of broken boards and wood, that used to stand so tall. Covered by the sun and a partly shingled roof, and a room where I’d heard mama call There’s an old faded photo, hanging on the wall Memories of a childhood, I once knew before the fall A fall from grace left its mark on this place, will those old memories ever set me free But now and again I wonder what might have been, if those old walls held the gift of this pain it would be such a shame. That passionate prairie stands now before me, I could bask forever in those amber fields of grain But its harvest now and the time it comes for reaping, but somehow thoses fields don’t look the same The child that lives within us, in some ways always dies, but I know a life fully lived is never compromised And when you take it on the chin, then get up again, well the fall becomes your friend, and your spirit makes amends, and your savior points a way, from that cold old lonely place, toward your new saving grace.

Songbird 04:04
Songbird The songbird comes late at night. The sun she brings an awful fright Sailing through the atmosphere calling all to come to her. Some will bend their necks to hear. What some will hear won’t be so clear Love can take its leave of you Fear never knows just what to do (And some never know just what to do …with her) FLYING, WAITING, CREATING DEBATING Hope it stands in an empty hall Fear it waits for you to fall Such silence it can carry you, to a place that offers such a view HOPING, WANDERING, SUFFERING, LOVING

Somewhere In Time All I know, is that I stood somewhere in time w/ you Now it seems like a dream, at my age things seem long overdue. I've read all about astro-physics, and a little 'bout relativity But I can't pretend to know, much more than I'm able to see I see you in constant rays of light, that shoot like beams through the night I wanna follow their magic light until. Over and over, and over again, I will see you and free you and feed you my friend and then I'll stand there beside you, like all lost lovers do until our flesh fades from view, and time holds no value. All I wanna do is feel that I am hell, I'm no extraordinary man But sometimes when the stars fall from the sky I see their vapor trail and think of you and I. I've seen couples walking hand in hand w/ a smile on their face Oh and here I am again, analyzing the whole Damned human race I ask about politics sex and religion, instead of what it is that makes you smile I wanna run to you hoping and reaching and grasping until Over and over, and over again, I will see you, and free you, and feed you my friend And I'll stand there besides you, like all lost lovers do And I'll hold you and love you, until our flesh fades from view. Of all the time that ever was, and the time that will ever be, this sun shines down now, on you and me We stood between the span of the sun and moon, under these same starry night Van Gough knew I know it's crazy to believe I know it's crazy to conceive, this beautiful coincidence between you and me

The Picnic 02:01
THE PICNIC Composer paul adams BMI Last night while lying in the sand, half awake, half asleep being caressed by the sound of waves (Hitting the beach). I noticed the rather cryptic list of ingredients printed on the side of my sweetheart’s empty salad bottle. Just fifteen minutes earlier Monosodium Glutamate, Polydiglicerides, and ascorbic acid danced in a single file stream, passing over her lips, gently, gliding with grace, to her stomach, anxiously awaiting absorption. How I envy those chemicals and wish that just this once - I wouldn't be so concerned, with organic gardening.

about

This Curious Wonder is a bit of an existential look at the world in lyric and song. From the heinous to the sublime, it's all right here for us. A beautiful mystery supported by guitar, dobro, mandolin, oud, harmonica and voice. This is my 13th album, but the first under the name PD Adams. These lyric songs are my best work, but I seperated the name as I didn't want to confuse fans of my instrumental New Age music. Who knows what could happen when you confuse all those digital algorhythms!?!
